Year of Russia in Monaco.
July 12 exhibition "From Chagall to Malevich, the avant-garde revolution" dedicated to Russian art opens its doors.
Its curators have selected works
since 1905 – year when St. Petersburg revolution took place until 1930 year
when Stalin came to power.
A giant Chagall canvas "Introduction au théâtre d'art juif" / Introduction to Jewish Art Theatre / written in 1920 and given to the State Tretyakov Gallery and other cult works could be seen here. Here you will also see Malevich famous triptych - square,
cross and a black circle on a white background of the Russian Museum
in St. Petersburg. Exhibition runs
until September 6.
